RENATUS- at the dawn of a Sunday Morning

At the first touch of light, the rock rambled. The darkness faded into the middle half of the shadows before highlights glimmered for a while. A swathe of wind blew and all the particles around the rocks that encircled the core formation of absolute darkness fell apart.

Then a few more pebbles fell and thus the first existence of gravity was felt.

…and, in next to no time, I felt the power of the sun. In fact, the power of a hundred suns that came together to melt the rocks. That was when I realized that I was somewhere witnessing a nature’s fusion song or maybe an ensemble of a natural catastrophe.

While gravity and friction played a pivotal role, I felt, there occurred iridescent heat that swamped everything…everything I saw. And then…?

…and then, there was fire – more and more fire.

Soon, everything brightened up and enflamed like an ember before it ignited to melt down everything.

You know, everything occurred before my eyes…but the time was much before nature was born. Much before any metamorphic event that descended from the heaven’s door.

I then witnessed the clay that was a while ago, were on the edges of the rocks like a lumpy dow – vitrified and then hardened into solid rocks. But no sooner its reddened edges froze into solid blocks with its jagged shrapnel pointing towards the heavens above…and then everything stood still...Cool, clear, and calm.

However, it was evanescent and temporary. It began to thunder and broke the reposefulness of a few seconds with exceptionally great, severe, or impressive resonances that deafened my eardrums.

Then there was the rain: the rain that poured down from the newly formed clouds.

…and so there was water….water above the surface of the earth where I saw the first sign of life.

And…after a while from then, from far beyond these ramblings that vibrated with its effervescent noise, souls were born: some with lighter wings and some with heavy and darker ones. I saw there andeverywhere around me, occurrences of power and a metaphor of creation starting a new world.

I saw, beneath the rains and above the rocky ground, water flowed through a sloppy path and gathered at a deeper depth where aquatic life swam for the first time.

It was then that, I felt all around me… wind blew through thin air…and at a far distance, I saw some birds flap their wings to away from the smallest crack between the hardened rocks.

I saw them all…and maybe somehow I understood them all…!

…Soon the shoreline was seeded with a special grass and the earth was greener once more. Once again there were lovely lakes and babbling brooks…and at its edge, at some higher ground, I sat to write a few verses of life…Yes, the first few verses of life about that brooding sound of a heartbeat…I have heard.

Wait a minute…did I say Heartbeat…??…Did I…?

…may be the first approach of the clock was pulsating the conquest of time. Beep, by beep it was becoming louder and louder…a-n-d…did you hear that?

Oh no! All these were not true… I had to wake up from my dream…my dream?

Really…? R-e-a-l-l-y…?

Oh…what a fragmented dream it was!... wasn't it…?

Postscript: …And so that’s how I opened my eyes this morning but as soon as I did that, one of my hands intuitively went towards the alarm clock and…‘beeped’ it off.

Afterthought: As I longed to sleep a little more, I had to hide my head with a pillow and elongate my sleepiness…after all, it was a Sunday morning and a lazy day awaited for me extending its open arms.
